Abstract
A transfer function required to be positive real to invoke hyperstability in proof of output error identification is composed of a designer chosen numerator and a plant dependent denominator. Suggestions for numerator parameterization via biased equation error parameter estimates are shown to suffer previously unacknowledged limits with respect to signal to measurement noise ratio in a second-order autoregressive plant identification task.
