Abstract :
A simple equivalent circuit model of the HDL concentric cylinders is developed. Both inductive and capacitive drive terms are found to be important. The importance of the various drive terms are determined by using gases with different conductivities. SF6, air, and nitrogen were used. It was possible to obtain excellent fits to the data by varying three circuit parameters.
