Abstract
This paper considers observers of slow states in singularly perturbed systems. Upper bounds are derived on observer error due to use of a reduced-order model in the observer. This error is shown to be 0(μ), where the singular perturbation parameter μ is a measure of the separation between the slow and fast eigenvalues of the full-order system.
