Abstract :
Recent work by El-Attar and Vidyasagar for stabilizing a large-scale unstable multivariable system by stable decentralized feedback are reformulated in terms of approximations to the plant inverse. The approach has the advantage that the resulting stabilization conditions can very often be satisfied by the use of high-gain feedbacks.
