  • Abstract
A recent report showed that the most cited publisher in new technology patents is the IEEE. The report revealed that IEEE journals and conference proceedings received seven times the number of citations of any other publisher. Furthermore, several patent studies commissioned by IEEE studies since 2003 reveal that the trend in citing scientific and technical literature is growing, as is the influence of IEEE publications
