Abstract :
This paper relates the author´s first-hand experience in using and designing recursive filters. The paper also compares the properties and characteristics of recursive filters with those of non-recursive filters and reviews the reasons for their declining popularity. It then argues that many of the supposed problems of recursive filters can be easily overcome
