  • Abstract
    Presents a new rapid approach to the analysis of strongly guiding and longitudinally varying semiconductor rib waveguide structures. The technique, which is a synthesis of the beam propagation and finite difference methods is Hermitian, second-order accurate and intrinsically stable.
