Abstract
This paper discusses recent developments in the existing Federal Interagency Radiological Emergency Response Planning and Preparedness Program with States and their local governments. The paper updates information on this program that was published in IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, Volume NS-23, No. 1, February 1976. The program is designed to assist States and local governments in developing and improving their Radiological Emergency Response Plans and Preparedness Programs that are supportive of nuclear facility emergency plans required by regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
