Abstract :
This correspondence calls attention to the misuse of the spectral radius of system matrices in stability analysis. It is demonstrated via examples that \\Pi \\min{i=1}\\max {n} A_{i} may diverge even if \\rho(A_{i}) < 1 for all i .
