Abstract :
A new approach for direct and compact derivation of sensitivity expressions in electrical power networks is presented utilizing a compact complex notation with a properly chosen complex state variable terminology. It employs only complex matrix manipulations and exploits the elements of the Jacobian matrix already available from the solution of the load flow problem.
