Abstract :
Sizewell B, the first of a proposed small series of PWR power stations, is now under construction. A project organisation has been established to undertake the proposed programme, and planning applications are at various stages for the other three PWRs. The follow-on PWRs will replicate the Sizewell B design. The author discusses the nuclear programme adopted by the CEGB and describes the work on Sizewell B. The follow on PWRs are planned for Hinckley Point C, Wylfa B, and Sizewell C. The benefits of replicating the Sizewell B design are discussed
