Abstract :
This paper develops a new method for dynamic simulation of multiterminal a.c-d.c. systems. The basic feature of the proposed method is the algorithm that assembles the generalised loop impedance matrix of the interconnected system from the sub-matrices corresponding to the converter bridges and the new states introduced by the passive interconnecting elements. Using the generalised loop impedance matrix and introducing tensor analysis techniques, the differential equations of the system are automatically assembled to deal with the periodically varying topology of the network.
