Abstract :
This note presents a general algorithm for parameter identification in lumped linear continuous systems in the form {n \\atop {\\sum \\atop i=0}} {m \\atop {\\sum \\atop j=0}} a_{i{\\cdot}j}t^{j} {d^{n-i}f(t) \\over dt^{n-1}} = {n \\atop {\\sum \\atop i=0}} {m \\atop {\\sum \\atop j=0}} b_{i{\\cdot}j}t^{j} {d^{n-1}r(t) \\over dt^{n-i}} from an arbitrary record of f(t) and r(t) over an interval of time. The approach is based on treating the process data in terms of Poisson moment functionals (PMF).
