Abstract :
Several strategies to optimize the parameters of the SIN 590 MeV ring cyclotron have evolved from tuning experience and beam studies The step-by-step procedures for obtaining single turn extraction with extraction rates close to 100 % are described. Optimal values of the main magnetic field and the accelerating voltage can be determined with an accuracy of 10-6/R and 10-4 respectively.
