Abstract :
The statistical maintenance cost control system provides a direct method for reporting maintenance costs for multiproduct plant in a form suitable for interpretation by plant management and control within the maintenance department through the use of electronic data processing. This system distributes maintenance cost equitably for each product. It can also indicate precisely how efficiently each supervisor spends every maintenance dollar on labour and material, when compared to standard cost and what he spends it on. Furthermore, it is possible to control or take action during the progress of maintenance work and not after the completion of the job.
