Abstract :
A ring of delay operators is used to obtain a ring model description of a linear time invariant delay system. With this aid an algorithm is developed for the computation of the polynomial state-feedback matrix which assigns an arbitrary set of poles of the closed-loop system (spectrum placement). An example is included to illustrate the method.
