Abstract :
In the design of decentralized control systems it is well known that the existence of unstable fixed modes prevents us from stabilizing it via linear time-invariant local controllers. In this note, we show that such systems might be stabilizable via time-varying controllers. In particular, a design method using sample and hold is proposed.
