Abstract :
It gives the author great pleasure to take on this new and challenging task of Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE/OSA JOURNAL OF DISPLAY TECHNOLOGY. This journal was founded three years ago to address the growing demands for a journal that contains papers that are rigorously peer-reviewed to meet the standards of IEEE and OSA. Displays have become an integral part of our daily life, thanks not only to cutting-edge research innovation in various scientific disciplines spanning materials and process technologies, transistor backplanes and driving algorithms, systems integration and human factors, but also to industry´s tremendous and continuing achievements in low cost and prudent manufacturing.
