Abstract :
Two dimensional monolithically integrated master oscillator power amplifiers (M-MOPAs) have been fabricated that emit in a single longitudinal mode to an output power of greater than 4.5 W. The spectral output is a single longitudinal mode throughout the operating range and is identical to the output of the master oscillator. The far field radiation pattern transverse to the direction of propagation is characteristic of inphase diffraction limited operation at low output powers.
