Abstract :
By periodically injecting a quantified amount of flux in a "slightly" resistive NMR magnet, a digital flux injector (DFI) enables the magnet to effectively operate in persistent mode. This paper presents: 1) parameters of the first full-scale DFI, specifically designed and built to operate with an LTS/HTS NMR magnet; and 2) its preliminary results when coupled to an LTS insert magnet in a bath of liquid helium.
