Abstract :
Normalized lattice algorithms for least-squares system identification usually assume zero initial conditions. This is in contrast to standard recursive least-squares techniques which can be initialized to any desired values of the identified parameters. The note proposes a modification of lattice algorithms by using prior information about the identified system as an initial condition. The method applies to all-pole as well as to pole-zero models.
