Abstract
In a recent correspondence [1], attention was called to the "misuse" of spectral radius of system matrices in stability, analysis. An assertion made in [1] is elaborated on more precisely in this note. In addition, we present some interesting stability results for "slowly varying" linear systems, highlighting the crucial role played by the spectral radius in convergence analysis.
