Abstract
A novel design approach for circularly polarised flat-plate antennas has been developed. The proposed antenna is of multilayer construction, rotatable about its normal axis, and comprises a polarisation convertor, an array of elements and a beamforming network. In one potentially large application, the reception of satellite broadcast signals in the 12 GHz band, it can be mounted flat on the most suitable wall of an arbitrarily orientated house and be readily aligned
