MB. N. BAUOL SCOTT : The lecture to which we have just listened is of great use to the Institution of Production Engineers. This is not the oldest of the engineering societies, but its rapid growth in the la t few years has shown it to be of importance to industry. Mr. Hijmans early in his address divided the manufacturing span in two, allocating the first three months to design and construction and the second three months to production.
