Abstract
This paper discusses the historical significance of the Brokaw Mansion, home of the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) before it was demolished to give way for the construction of a high-rise apartment building in 1965. Located at 1 East 79th Street in New York City, the Borkaw Mansion featured French chateau-style architecture and provided four floors of office space to the IRE.
