Abstract :
A three-dimensional model for the calculation of the reflectivity of an angled facet amplifier is presented. It is predicted that a reflectivity as low as 5*10-5 can be obtained simultaneously for both the TE and the TM modes. For the same coating an angled facet amplifier has a reflectivity which is approximately 100 times lower than that of a normal facet amplifier for the investigated structure.
