Abstract :
A fast code for calculating the EMP from a ground burst has been developed based on the theoretical work of Conrad Longmire. The basic equations are shown here, along with comparisons between this code and LEMP. The peak values of the vertical electric field and the azimuthal magnetic field are modeled within a factor of two at all ranges tested, and the time waveforms are similar.
