Abstract :
The design and experimental results of a novel varactor-tuned transmission line resonator are presented. Analysis based on transmission line theory is used to model the resonator. A prototype with a tuning bandwidth of 53% has been built. The tuned resonator could find applications in microwave oscillators and filters in both MMICs and hybrid circuits.
