Abstract :
A high-frequency solution is presented to the problem of diffraction of waves generated by a magnetic line source by the edges of a cylindrical curved surface with different face impedances. By taking into account the locality of the high-frequency diffraction phenomena, the mixed boundary value problem is first reduced into a matrix boundary Hilbert-equation and then solved asymptotically by the Hurd-Rawlins-William´s method. Explicit nonuniform expressions for the diffraction coefficients are obtained by evaluating the field integrals asymptotically
