Abstract
The purpose of the proposed equation error technique is to design a digital controller such that the response of the resulting closed-loop system matches approximately a specified response. The technique is based on the minimization of the equation error in closed loop. The necessary and sufficient condition for minimizing the equation error is given, and is used in the design method
