Abstract
Two kinds of one-cylinder-type standard cells are described. Compared to a normal H-shaped standard cell, they have the advantage of improved null-detector resolution for electromagnetic force (EMF) measurements of standard cells because a low internal resistance is easily obtained in a compact volume. In a poorly temperature-regulated enclosure, the one-cylinder-type standard cells also produce a stable EMF measurement because the two electrodes of the standard cell are close to each other
