  • Abstract
    The commenter points out that whereas Fahmy and O´Reilly (see ibid., vol. AC-27, no. 3, pp. 690-693, 1982) presented a parametric solution of the eigenstructure assignment problem for linear time-invariant systems, he himself had earlier given a similar solution by using another approach (see Regelungstechnik, vol. 29, pp. 228-233, 1981). He also notes that his approach was based on the dynamical behavior of the closed-loop system.
