Abstract :
The Monte Carlo method of simulation has been illustrated by means of the above examples. The technique has been widely used in industry, business, agriculture, commerce, transport and military fields to obtain solutions to such diverse problems as manpower utilisation, queueing problems, machine shop loading, planting and harvesting, military battles, traffic control and economic enterprises. In addition to being used to investigate the effects of proposed changes in situations, computer simulation programmes have been used as teaching aids in such fields as business studies, work study and quality control.
