Abstract :
The Barkhausen noise voltage u versus applied field H is calculated by using an energetic hysteresis model. It is assumed that u is proportional to the domain-wall (DW) velocity depending on H and to the number of irreversibly jumping DWs. The results indicate a strong dependence of the u/H curves on the model parameters. A considerable qualitative agreement is achieved with measurements on grain-oriented FeSi steel sheets.
