  • Abstract
In this paper, the coupled strip-slot lines are modeled using hybrid mode analysis. Standard spectral-domain analysis is employed to solve the eigenvalue problem in multilayered media and a novel formulation is proposed to obtain strip and slot modal impedances. Comparisons with available published data are presented. The model is used to obtain scattering parameters of a bandpass filter with a novel topology. These scattering parameters are then compared with those obtained using rigorous Sonnet simulations, thereby confirming the reliability of the model.
