Abstract
A theoretical investigation of Bleustein-Gulyaev wave excitation by space charges, initiated by the movement of photogenerated electrons and holes, is presented. Estimates for CdS showed that the conversion efficiency of optical power into signal voltage Vpp/Pin may be equal to 10*103 mu V/mW or even more.
