Manufacturing tolerance allocation

Since interchangeability demands the use of small tolerances,when dimensioning for manufacture it is essential that the most advantageous results are achieved. These results must be consistent with the specified functional tolerances. By considering the manufacturing process methods of dimensioning are proposed, with relevant allocation of manufacturing tolerance, which fulfils the requirements of the functional tolerance. The proposed method is shown to be universally applicable by fully worked examples.
