Abstract :
For pt.I see ibid., vol.3, no.4, p.1723-30, 1988. Supported by the theory described in pt.I, the authors present the results of stability simulation tests to show the performance of a second-order nonlinear dynamic equivalent derived with the assistance of modal analysis. Numerical results on the determination of modal generators related to the external area dynamic equivalent of a relatively small system are also featured. Stability simulation curves shown relate to test runs for the referred system and for a given configuration of the Brazilian South-Southeast Interconnected Power System. Relations applicable to balance of power injected at external area equivalenced through the interconnection buses are also discussed
