Electrets and related phenomena [Editorial]

This Special Issue of IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulations is to provide an insight into the recent research in the various fields covered by the electrets and related phenomena. Most papers are extended versions of contributions presented at the 15th International Symposium on Electrets, held at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, August 11-13, 2014. After 42 years of ISE meetings held in South America, Asia, and Europe, ISE 15 brought the meeting back to its origins in the United States. The first two meetings in this conference series were held from Oct. 15-20, 1967 in Chicago and from Oct 8-13, 1972 in Miami.
