Abstract :
A decomposition of matrix formal power series (linear systems) is developed. The interconnections between formal power series, realization (Padé approximation), recursiveness (Berlekamp-Massey algorithm), feedback interconnections, (matrix) linear fractional representations, (matrix) continued fractions and the (matrix) Euclidean algorithm are thereby revealed.
