Abstract :
A modular expandable multiparameter pulse height analyzer system for up to 16 ADC´s has been developed. Certain computing functions which have been implemented in hardware allow on line data acquisition and manipulation making use of parallel processing at high event rates (> 2 × 104 pulses/sec) at an event word length up to 128 bits. The system can be easily interfaced to 16 and 32 bit computers (VAX 11/780) by a special CAMAC buffer module. Single parameter information is incremented and stored in 8K CAMAC memory modules, which can be read and displayed by a CAMAC compatible dataway operation allowing direct memory addressing.
