Abstract :
The optical characteristics and constants of thin film photoemitters are presented. Based on the optical constants, the light intensity in the thin film is derived and the various intensity components are discussed. With one suitable probability function the location of the emission centers are determined. The spectral yield curves are then computed and compared to the experimental data and the selective blue maximum of the alkali antimonides is explained.
