Abstract :
Students need to overcome their reluctance in understanding how, and why, informatics has evolved as it has. Toward that end, the author developed a course-designed as a seminar-in which students were required to reflect on ideas presented in seminal papers and relate them to contemporary concepts in the respective informatics subdomain. This article describes the seminar´s structure, methods, and goals.
