Abstract :
Out-of-phase-mode oscillation is suppressed in a nearly resonant array of antiguides by introducing high transverse radiation losses ( approximately=150 cm-1) in the interelement regions. Ten-element devices operate in the in-phase array mode, diffraction-limited up to 2.5*threshold, and with lobe widths of 1.6*diffraction limit at 4*threshold (230 mW total power).
