Abstract :
The short term hydro-thermal optimization has been solved by various methods. Among the input data are the system parameters. These include the forecasted parameters, which are the system load for each time interval and water volume input to the hydro plants for the short period considered and the coefficients of the input-output characteristics of thermal and hydro plants. This paper presents a sensitivity analysis for correcting the optimum schedule for small order changes in the system input forecasted parameters. The sensitivity of the cost function to small order variations in the coefficients of the input-output characteristics of the generating units is also investigated.
