Abstract
3G wireless systems are still in the early stages of development. In fact, it may be another five to 10 years before we know their full market impact. However, there are already limitations and problems. Some of these problems are technical in nature, while others are business-related. Getting different access networks to interoperate in a seamless manner without a fixed infrastructure still holds many challenges. High data rates and adequate bandwidth to handle multimedia applications like full-motion video and wireless teleconferencing still need work.
