Abstract
Simultaneous weather and conductor data were collected from locations situated in New York State and western Massachusetts. The two New York State locations represent the termination points of a 230 kV, 70 mi overhead line. The transmission line consists of a Drake 795 kemil ACSR conductor. Data were monitored using online sensor equipment. The variability in weather conditions, conductor temperatures, and calculated dynamic ratings along transmission lines is analyzed
