Abstract :
For pt.I see ibid., vol.3, no.4, p.2005-11 (1988). A digital simulation concept which combines the detailed capability of the Electromagnetic Transients Program with the large system dynamic capability of a transient stability program is applied to the study of the interaction of a DC system with weak AC systems. The interface locations between the two simulations are extended to strategic points within the AC network. Greater predictability and authenticity of the response to disturbances have been achieved than was previously possible
