Abstract :
In this letter we derive a new closed-form lower bound on the ergodic capacity of single-sided correlated Rician MIMO channels with arbitrary-rank mean matrices. The new bound is significantly tighter than previously reported bounds, and matches almost exactly with empirically-generated (exact) capacity results for all signal to noise ratios. The new closed-form bound is also more computationally efficient than the previous bounds in the literature.
