Abstract :
The letter investigates the throughput performance of stop-and-wait ARQ schemes, whereby multiple contiguous copies of each data block are sent instead of one single copy. In particular, the influence of combining several copies of the same block for the decision at the receiver side is studied by means of a simple model. Explicit formulas are obtained
